Memories of Grandma's Car!
As the story is told, my Grandmother loved to drive and go places! She was also known to let my two oldest brothers ( at a young age) drive when Grandpa wasn't watching:)
My memory is of riding in the back seat of the classy and well kept Plymouth, many times with a neighbor friend and classmate as Grandma would tell us the history of the area and who lived at each farmstead. Most times she would give us a couple of dimes to go in and pick out some candy at the reopened Fansler grocery Store in the rolling hills of Rural Guthrie County, (The original Fansler Store was taken on the Mothers DayTornado of 1959. Wayyyy before my time:) or a stop at our local Vaux's Market located on Bayard Main Street.
She was a Great story teller, and I wish she was still with us to tell more..
